2012 New Year Resolutions!

Happy 2012!

Can't believe another has gone by.  Now it is time to reflect on what to improve for the upcoming year. And of course, lets see if I can follow through with these resolutions of mine...

1) Write a blog at least once a month.

It is hard to write blogs as it is very time consuming.  I'm not sure how I used to write blogs back in Xanga days, but with full time school and work taking place, I would still love to make note what happened in my life. This blog is not intended for anyone else but myself, but if you happened to stumbled upon my blog, feel free to say hello. :)

2) Find out a budgeting method that will work with my lifestyle and personality.

I had a gazillion iphone apps that deals with budgeting and financing, but I can never stick to any one of those!  I seriously need some help on budgeting and not just spend my life away through those evil online retailers. I heard Quicken is a really good program for it, so maybe I will check that out. Suggestions are welcome.

3) Limit my monthly shopping spree.

Speaking of online shopping, I am officially a victim of online/mobile shopping. Before I even get off my bed and the clock hit 9am, I already spent my hard earn money away.  Mobile shopping are the worse.  All I need to do is press "Place Order" and that's it.  I didn't even need to enter my credit card information! That sounds like dangerous to me.  So from now on, I am going to give myself a cool off period of 24 hours before I make any major purchase.

4) Be more active and exercise once a week at least.

Lately I've been unable to buckle my pants! O_O That is so sad. I am determine to dedicate an hour to yoga AT LEAST once a week (I know for sure that's not enough -__-;; and no I do not think that I can do that pose in the picture).  I am also going to watch what I earn and always choose a healthier alternative whenever possible. Sorry to Jamba Juice's Banana Berry, your 3 scoops of ice cream sorbet in the smoothie is not going to help. :(

Here's my "beauty" resolution... lol
1) Clean my make-up brush regularly! Or limit the use of make-up brushes!

An uncleaned make-up brush is probably worse than the dirtiest toilet seat. It's like putting on old GERMS and tons of BACTERIA onto your face again, day after day.  And despite the fact that I know that, I still don't clean my brushes often enough due to something called laziness. Hopefully, that will change this year.

2) Try and Sample before Buy!
This is hard sometimes as I buy on impulse, but I'm very happy to subscribe to website called MyGlam!  MyGlam is a new company that Michelle Phan (YouTube make-up guru) started up back in December of 2011 in which they send you 4-5 deluxed or full-sized sample in a cute make-up bag for only $10/month! No tax or shipping! I don't think you can lose on that one.  And no I don't work for them, but just a very happy girl that found out that such business exist. Will post when I receive my January Glam bag. :)

I'm sure there more, but that's it for now!

Living your dream - My Dream List

I just went to the Usana International Convention of 2011 with the theme called Living the Dream. Now that makes me think about what are some of my dreams.

There are 3 questions that we have to think to ourselves.
1) What would you attempt if you can't fail?
2) What memories would you create if today is your last day on Earth?
3) If money is not an issue, what would you do?

So I decided to compile a list of my dreams...

1) Study abroad @ Japan/Korea/Taiwan/Hong Kong.
That has always been my motivation to stay in school and do well at it. I didn't want to just travel there, but I want to see the life of being a student at a foreign country.

2) Travel across the world and explore different culture.

3) Be able to support my parents and buy them a retirement home.

4) My future home must have a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, walk-in closet, secret tunnels, parking space in the house, gas station... Okay maybe I should stop.

5) Open up a business related to beauty & health :)
Maybe it could be a spa. A healthy spa? Maybe it could be an Asian ver. of Sephora.

6) Fly to Japan to meet w-inds. (Japanese boy band) before I die.
Haven't really follow them after middle school/high school, but I remembered I liked the lead singer because he has the same birthday as me. Lol.

7) To be able to grow old with the person that I love the most.
After seeing Gene Furbee speak during Convention, I realized that my dream is not to have the nicest house, the nicest car, or big grand fortune. In fact, I just have a very small and simple dream. It is to be able to grow old with the person I love, and for us to be stay healthy and live life to the fullest together.

I'm sure I will update my list of dreams in the future.
But for now, that's it!

Thank you and God bless! <3
